There are antifungal nail laquers and creams.

I use OPI’s Nail Envy. It’s 100% the reason why I’m able to grow my nails out at all. And a bottle lasts a really long time - I notice that it starts to be less effective at around 1/4 of a bottle left (by which I mean, when I use it at a base coat, my nail polish chips more quickly with an old bottle than a new one), but getting to that point takes a while for me.

I only use pure acetone when doing cleanups so I can get clean lines. For the foil method, use cotton balls or pads and put your remover on them.
