First off, you should literally never pvm with the bofa without the armor. A notable exception being shamans. Don't use bofa without crystal armor. BOWFA still. Could be a good “zulrah skip” for mage. (If you don’t illegally smuggle out a perfect staff from the CG grind 🦀 ) Slayer/trident is easy now with burst/barrage slayer. Money from CG really sets you up for construction/PvM. Problem is you aren’t skipping trident you are skipping lance/occult/passive DWH + bossing/defense exp.Use whatever ammo you can reasonably obtain/replace. Performing the mechanics well will make a much bigger difference than which of the 3 you bring. Karil's Xbow is better. Crystal bow without any of the armor pieces is worse. The RCB opens room for an offhand which means less inventory issues.I just tried 8 trips to test out Mage+Range, vs just using the bowfa ( 4 trips each ). Keep in mind that this is with 96 range, 99 mage, no cox prayers, and I also only used monkfish and karambwans. I just went straight full crystal + bowfa + venga/cure me. That setup makes range only Zulrah viable and pretty chill since you don't have to switch gear. Never use bofa without crystal for any pvm, it's terrible. I'd use blessed d hides over elite void at Zulrah. Bow is a waste of money without the armor set.

Also the BowFa is only even close to as good in places where you can pair it with full crystal armor. If you need to use void or have some reason where you can't wear the full crystal helm, body, and legs, the BowFa won't be nearly as good ... Pretty similar to bp at hydra, but free to use. Potentially contrary opinion -- I attempted the tbow rebuild a while back and ended up selling the tbow after a month (and lost a bunch of money on it). I didn't like that I felt limited to zulrah, brutal black dragons, and sara, and ultimately got so bored with it I just decided I'd be happier with more general gear I could do any content with.Posted on Ironscape. Which is better? Slayer helmet, unless you're killing undead. Then you wanna wear crystal helmet +salve ei. Well one is 2.5% dmg and 5% accuracy. The other is 15% dmg and accuracy. Also worth throwing out that barrows is just another piece of content to add to my rotation.Comparing max mage with trident vs max range with bowfa, mage is about 2.5x the DPS of bowfa on red. It's an unbelievable difference. Bowfa camping is definitely still viable, but that's mostly because it doesn't use scales, while using BP/trident does. Without factoring in supply costs bowfa is quite a bit worse. 3.Yes. zulrah is worth 117k on avg. you probably have low 2 minute kills with bowfa camp. In my experience if I camped bowfa I would often go into a second cycle. I threw in trident ahims and finished first rotation consistently. Bowfa isn't far behind tbow, considering you can't hit zulrah higher than 50. Do muspah.
