If you want to go in with substantially less than 30 hearts, cook a powerful hearty meal beforehand and eat it. It's only a one time thing ofc, but helps substantially. I was somehow able to get through the final trials with only 13-15 heart containers, maxed stamina, and a hearty meal beforehand.
