HK VP9 vs Glock 19 Quality. The HK VP9 definitely seems to be a higher-quality pistol than the Glock 19. In my opinion, it is probably 10-percent higher in quality than the Glock 19 just from feel alone. Again, this is all opinion and there might not be an actual quality difference. It does seem and feel to be a high-quality handgun comparatively.
Other thing to consider is mag cost. HK mags are notoriously expensive unless you find a rare sale. CZ mags are probably cheaper except for the rare models. P10s can be night sight ready. I started with G19 but now prefer an HK VP9 in every configuration. The VP9 has nicer ambidextrous features but really it’s mostly about what feels right to shoot. I agree that the Steyr is appealing but it’s not as easy to find parts and mags, so I’d stick with the HK, Glock, or Walther models you listed, pick one and go from there.
