The ASE Mechanic, making the big bucks ($60+/hr.) could not have been involved with this recall. Instead the Service Valet ($12/hr.) was assigned the work. I can't imagine the Service Valet having experience or the knowledge to modify the FAKRA MOST Network cable. Maybe Honda didn't include any disassembly instructions, for this recall.
Just crossed over 4,000. But the FAKRA issued isn’t mileage dependent as much as it was the specific connection. After watching this video of a Honda Tech doing the FAKRA repair I am hesitant to get this recall done. I think Honda needs to give the Dealers at least a 5 hour window to complete this recall. My 2019 Elite is flawless and I would hate to see the Piano Black console pieces scratched.
The recall for a leaky panoramic roof is not the same as recalls filed under safety.
