Apr 2, 2017 · Our bypass is located with three separate valves located directly behind the hot water tank. Located inside basement, in off door side. 4 screws to remove panel and hot water heater is located behind. Not sure if the tank is located there with your particular floor plan. There's a check valve at the water heater, usually on the hot output connection. If that check valve sticks open, water can flow backward into the tank even when bypassed.While preparing to winterize, I noticed 2 white 1/4 turn valves on the ceiling of the pass through storage area on the passenger side of the RV. I put 40 psi of air pressure on the system and proceeded to open up the taps and blow the water out. No issues.
