13 posts · Joined 2015. #1 · May 27, 2015. I'm looking for some advice on removing the rear housing on the transfer case in my truck. It is a 2008 GMC Sierra 1500 with the MP3023 transfer case. There is a crack at the drain plug from being over tightened.

I have 19,000 miles on the truck and they said the owner's manual says to change the fluid at 22,000 miles. They wanted $170 for the service. :shock:
