Theoretically you can go 60 int or faith and still get max Pyro scaling. No man, your pyro scales with the lowest. If 60 is the lowest out of int faith you have hit the hard cap and that is why you get max pyro scaling. Nope, that's dark bonus, and it softcaps at 30 iirc.

At around 43 attunement you can switch to majoring in pyromancy. Just make sure to pick up a melee weapon for the DLC content (since projectiles deal ~50% less damage). Imo, pure spellcaster is the easiest build in DS2 (for non-DLC content) but even there it puts in work.
