I experience this issue with regular Xbox one and Xbox 360 controllers, but I dont experience it with the Xbox elite series 2 controller. It has to do with usb drivers, so ymmv. Ffxiv is very sensitive to device events. If you check your system logs you should be able to find out what event is causing the "freezes" on the stick.

Lag spikes and latency issues. So, I recently resubbed for the first time in a couple of months. I play on ps5 and have NEVER had any issue with lag or connection (aside from expansion launch days obv), and everything else in my life that uses internet works perfectly fine. But the lag or latency makes the game basically unplayable.
