Jandy LT Heater Problem. Some quick searching here leads me to think that ES-1 is the same as the flame rollout switch on a furnace. It's a hypersensitive temperature switch that will trip and kill everything if a) a flame comes out the burner section or b) the flue gets too hot. The furnace I was battling was just a pushbutton reset.

He put in a new cell, and my pool is up and running beautifully. I asked the Rep about switching the direction of the cell, and he said it didn't make a difference.
