I've had a Kimber Stainless Target II for about 15 years, and the only problems I've ever had were from weak (under 1100fps) 10mm loads. They don't always fully cycle the slide, and tend to fail to feed. With the handloads I make and the older, more powerful Winchester Silvertips (1275+ fps iirc), I've never had an issue.

It all comes down to which looks better to you. I think the Eclipse is the best looking Kimber. I don't care a lot for the scaling on the Raptors, but it all comes down to personal opinion. Both are great guns that will give you, and your son/grandson, a lifetime of enjoyment if they are taken care of properly.
