You can only open the pond hatch door underwater. The one in the lab itself stays closed. There are some small labs all over the map which are still closed. I believe that’s the one that opens when you open the Dome in the pond lab... I’m not sure on that though, as other than just the lab itself I haven’t done much exploring in the pond.If you make your way up there, you will go into the stump and see a bunch of ticks and wolf spiders.
