You'll need something to overcome/bypass the increased defensive stats of Steel Path enemies. Simple raw damage won't work. Rolling guard/adaptation (arbitration), armor stripping mechanics would be HUGE for grineer earth, or toxic for corpus.New War will also get you access to one of the best weapons in the game, as well as unlock a new quest/destination that you are required to complete for Steel Path.
