After being smites for my slayer helm twice and having to kill 3300 cave horrors to replace them, I just take full dhide, bowfa, slay helm and AGS. It's good for a lot of things yes. bofa is pretty decent without armor, not incredible however. I did see semtecks use the bofa at zuk for the extended range. 1 def iron yes (no scale/dart supply), 1 def normie just use blowpipe with amethyst darts. Its same strength as diamond bolts, more accuracy than acb and faster.

Bowfa is good because of the crystal armor. Hard part is done, get back in there and if you really don't like this grind leave after 5 armor seeds and skip the helm (highly recommend getting all 6 tho).
