Cryo fridge ark.
Last night I cryo'd up a bunch of breeders in my single player world and put the pods in the cryofridge. Shortly after I logged in this morning I got a death message for one of the tames i THOUGHT was in cryo. Turned on location for one of the breeders and ALL of them were somehow in the middle of the redwoods instead of in cryo.

The pods wont recharge in a powered cryofridge. Their timer stops moving but they wont charge. I've let them set for a week and no addition charge. My server settings are official except taming, breeding, so I didn't mess with any other settings.

Yes the baby won't die. It will come out the way you put in. But theres one catch though, imprint timer will reset to 8 hours regardless of the time left when it was put in. But it keeps imprint progress %. So I suggest to put babies in pods right after an imprint.

You should also be able to craft this in the Tek Replicator. Although if you haven't learned the cryofridge, you probably don't have a Tek Replicator either.
