Oanda changed my demo account server. Rants. I had been using this particular demo account for the last 2 weeks or so. Been practicing my new strategy successfully on indices. I was previously on the Practice 4 server which which was perfect. Fast forward today, I get an email from Oanda saying they've moved me to a Practice 2 server.

Both platforms allow account funding via bank wire and credit or debit card, but only Forex.com offers PayPal.I don't what people here are saying oanda spreads are bigger, for me forex.com was bigger and that's why I switched in the first place. Pros and con are the same for both broker imo. Decent. One thing is you can actually get on the phone with forex.com but not oanda.The main draw for Oanda is that they offer no minimum trade sizes. So you can start an account with $50 and literally trade $1 at a time. Or you can do like 1/5th of a microlot and only risk $0.50 on a trade. Their spreads are also quite good. A lot of people recommend Oanda here for beginners, especially with limited capital, but their spreads look terrible. I'm new and currently trying to set up a paper trading setup as I'm reading and learning as I go. So in a lot of ways I've heard good arguments that Oanda is a good brokerage to start, especially for low cash volume ( eg ).

However both brokers let you use MT4 also, and you'll probably want to jump around to lots of different brokers if you get serious and so it's a good idea to learn metatrader4 early since pretty much everyone offers it.
