I just got done with an engine for a guy that he broke the crank on- would start and idle fine, had throttle until about 2200rpm and then would start cutting out and running erratic.

Well, we about beat the crank out of the block, but haven't broke one yet. Started out as a well used LB7, built and ran a full year at 900-1200HP and re-built it this month. Same crank is back in the engine for another season, we'll see.

About 2 weeks ago on the way to work the truck started bucking violently and died. Pulled codes and got p0366 crank sensor. Took it to a mechanic I know and he replaced crank sensor. It still throws the code after clearing it when cranking. We are getting power and signal from both the crank and cam sensor. After that, start by replacing the injector that is the worst, then check balance rates again. Ideally you would first run a compression test on any cylinders with high positive balance rates.

Once you remove that hub then you can see the cam gear and pin. It might be fine, and your issue is just the hub in front of it. You should be able to pull that off with a puller.
