The owners manual has it listed on page 465 (in the 2013 version) under Specifications, sub listing Transfer Assembly Fluid with a volume of 0.45 quarts. My guess is that the additional volume from the shop manual set is for an empty case being installed and the lower volume listed in the owners manual is for a service fluid change.
Estimating the material cost for the fluids and washers and such, I'd say that would be around $120-140. That'd be $320ish for labor. Takes me about 1.5-2 hours at home to do transfer case, rear diff, and oil/filter with me being a bit slow and inexperienced. The Pilot used to take VTM-4 fluid, back when the AWD system was called VTM-4 and used a slightly different technology in the rear differential. I think that applies to Gen 1 and Gen 2 (through 2015).
