I got this when I bought it with dirty carbs, straight pipes, stock air filter and stock carb jets. I filled my 1992 Honda Shadow 1100 just recently and it showed 50.1 MPG. This with a smoother ride. The Sporty was fun on twisty roads. But make it a short ride. I can do a short twisty road ride on the Shadow or a three hour ride across the state. I don’t ride with the choke on, just turn it on fully when starting up for about 30 seconds, then push it back to off. The bike runs good but the fuel economy is really low, like I have to switch to reserve after 80 miles. The dealer has service records showing the carbs were rebuilt.
