I started using medium equip load and haven't had issues. Seems odd to have three weight categories though if light doesn't have any mechanical differences compared to medium. I kind of agree, medium roll feels better in Elden Ring to me and I've not been able to put my finger on why exactly. Every souls game before this I always made sure I met the light roll ratio, even if it meant being naked. Yet now in Elden Ring, I want to be heavy enough to be medium. Something feels very different about it, in a good way.
The light roll takes a long time to do and caused me to get hit by follow ups more often. From what im told by people willing to waste time on testing and counting frames the medium and light roll take the same amount of time and cover the same distance but light rolls get their i frames 2 frames faster and last 2 frames longer.
