You can choose to take a -2 penalty with a lethal weapon to make the attack nonlethal, and so long as you make that choice when you reduce the creature to 0 hit points you're fine.

Eventually, slinging snowballs and making giant snow golems becomes second nature. 18. Work Yourself Up. A quick way to enter the Catharsis state and hold power over fear.Medium Armor Mastery Level 19. Your skill with armor improves, increasing your ability to dodge blows. Your proficiency ranks for medium armor, light armor, and unarmored defense increase to master. There's no sight more beautiful to you than a strange brew bubbling in a beaker, and you consume your ingenious elixirs with abandon.They Exploit Vulnerability and learn it has weakness 20 to good damage. But it also has resistance 20 to all physical damage that isn't cold iron. Thaumaturge doesn't have a cold iron weapon so they just use a regular metal weapon. The attack hits. So then with damage, as per step three of the damage rules, no immunities apply.
