Like Das said, you're pretty much limited to staying somewhere in South Lake Tahoe. There's plenty of motels in the area but prices are usually around $80 a night. I have a season pass to Heavenly, North*, and Kirkwood because of a deal, but Sierra is still my favorite mountain in the area.

Regarding charging, charge as much as possible before heading into Tahoe. While Tahoe has sufficient number of superchargers, the rate is quite slow with cold battery. Tahoe is not the best choice for a late autumn or winter vacation unless you hope to ski, snowboard, or possibly snowshoe. Hiking and mountain biking could be impossible due to possible snow. Lake cruises are over for the season. Sightseeing to Thunderbird Lodge, Vikingshome, etc., are closed for the season.

Plenty of blue chutes and fun trails. Northstar and Heavenly are great intermediate resorts with a lot of acreage below tree line.
