Answer 1 of 7: Planning to spend Thanksgiving in Charleston this year. Looking for Thanksgiving Dinner suggestions either Traditional or not. We will be staying in the French Quarter and looking to go within 1/2 hour walking distance or less. ThanksIf only two days then Savannah is the place to go. It is very easy to walk and your will find good food and historic homes, etc. Charleston is also beautiful but is a much larger city with historic district, market square, Ft. Sumter and the historic plantations out from the city. 2.
